How do you stop background programs when you play a computer game?

My bros computer runs this game not so well, so we need to make it so when it comes up its priority is realtime, and all background programs are off. PLEASE HELP!!!!!How do you stop background programs when you play a computer game?
Go to task manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) before you play the game and click on the tab that says processes. In the processes tab go through and find any programs that might be running and close them. WARNING: Do not close important Windows programs. Just things that you launched or 3rd party applications. Also, have you considered that maybe your computer is just old and slow? Perhaps getting a new one or upgrading the graphics card, CPU, etc. you can drastically increase performance.How do you stop background programs when you play a computer game?
If u r using windows os, just press Ctrl+Alt+Del.

It will open task manager.

open processes....

end some unwanted processes.

n right click on the game titile in the processes menu.

click on priority then click very high....

shut down when it says closing background programs click cancel and there we go!
