Does it pay to write a strategy computer game?

I would like to write a turn based simple strategy computer game. Is there a market for it? I estimate 1 in a million people would love this game and would pay for it, and there are 1 billion computer users. If I charge $5 for the game then I could make $5,000, i.e., I could be rich beyond my wildest dreams! Is this a reasonable fermi estimate?



My second question is can a decent game be written in under 500 hours?Does it pay to write a strategy computer game?
