Could playing an old computer game harm my computer?

Last couple days I've been playing a computer game that was released in 1998. The resolution on my computer changes when I play it, everything gets bigger. But when I'm done playing everything goes back to normal but I'm not sure if its just me or its actually happening but things on my computer like the text on certain pages adn icons don't look as clear, like a little blurry. So is playing this really old game hurting my computer? Thanks.Could playing an old computer game harm my computer?
