What is the reason for my computer game not installing?

Today I bought "The Sims 3". My computer has the requirements for the game, and the game would install on my computer, but for some reason, the code won't work. It asks for a code, and I use the code that the game came with. (I bought the game new. It was wrapped and everything) Everytime I try putting it in, it says that it is an invalid code.



Is this a common problem? Why does it do this? How can I fix it?What is the reason for my computer game not installing?
have you try putting the code in exactly as it is typed (make sure lower case letters are lower case, capital letters are capital). if it still doesn't work you may need to call customer support.
