From What I've Been Reading on the Internet, It Seems You Can Play a Xbox Game on a Computer. However, I Have Call of Duty 4 For My Computer, and Recently Got an Xbox 360, is it Possible for Me to Use My Computer Disk of Call of Duty 4 on My Xbox Console?
Thanks In Advance! Are You Able to Play a Computer Game on an Xbox 360 Console?
Nope, definitely not.
First of all it's like sticking a DVD in your car's cd player, two totally different formats.
And also all xbox game disks are written backwards. (Confusing) Pretend the data on the disks is words, for PC you write it left to right, for Xbox and any other game console its right to left. (Figuratively of course.) So yeah...
You have the disk, a computer, and an XBox 360 right there in front of you, so why don't you just put the disk in the 360 and see if it works? You would have your answer in a matter of seconds without wasting all that time entering your question here and waiting for people to tell you what they think. Are You Able to Play a Computer Game on an Xbox 360 Console?
I don't think you can do that. But put the disc in and give it a try, it wouldnt hurt anything/.
No, it wont read it.Are You Able to Play a Computer Game on an Xbox 360 Console?
No that wont work.
NO
no it wont read

Counter Strike 2 is always great.
Starcraft: Broodwar as mentioned but takes time to learn if your having friends who dont know how.
If you have xbox controlers, Madden 11, or get xboxs together to have halo lan party.

What is a large, graphics heavy, RAM and memory needy computer game?

I second Crysis. About a year ago I had the best PC technology available and while it would run at almost max settings, it was choppy as hell.

Is pixel shader and vertex shader necessary to run a computer game?
Is it necessary to play a computer game without pixel shader 1.0/ vertex shader 1.0, on low settings? Is pixel shader and vertex shader necessary to run a computer game?
Depends on the game.
Games are built assuming certain video hardware exists. If the game requires Pixel Shader 3.0, and your video card doesn't support it, the game (or at least parts of it) won't play on your computer. Is pixel shader and vertex shader necessary to run a computer game?

I was playing a computer game then my computer froze and shut down the game. Why?
I was playing SimCity 4 Deluxe then my computer froze and returned to the desktop default page as is the computer has just been restarted. Worst of all my game hadnt been saved. This time I was playing for less than 20 mins. Usually it happens after about an hour or two. It also happens on my laptop. This problem is just specific to this game. What can I do?I was playing a computer game then my computer froze and shut down the game. Why?
There are many other random causes of system freezes, such as overheating of components, hardware conflicts, and hardware malfunctioning. You can prevent most of the problems associated with Windows freeze ups by performing regular preventive maintenance of your PC. Always keep your work area and PC dust free. Install hardware that is compatible with your operating system and other components currently installed on your computer. Use hard disk tools such as Disk Defragmenter and Disk Cleanup to keep the hard disk free from errors and unwanted files. Always keep your PC updated with the latest security releases and patches. Regularly update and run antivirus and anti-spyware scans on your computer to keep it free from malicious files. And last but not least, get a reliable registry cleaner http://cleanup-comuter-run-perfectly.com software and it detects the most pc problems,Cleans registry, fixes errors, and optimizes your PC for better performance.Prevent application crashes; Load windows faster; Run applications smoothly; Maintain your system like new; Manage your Internet Explore more handle; Regain disk space; Protects your privacy; Easy to use, saving you time and energy; Unlimited free technical support; Prevents PC from Freezing or Crashing.I was playing a computer game then my computer froze and shut down the game. What extinct computer/video game would you like to see revived (produced and marketed again)?
I LOVED Sim Tower. I also loved Tropico and The Adventures of Lolo for Nintendo. What video/computer game would you like to see re-done and made available for sale again? What extinct computer/video game would you like to see revived (produced and marketed again)?
Its not a game but i'd like to see more Star wars! What extinct computer/video game would you like to see revived (produced and marketed again)?
There are a number of games which were ridiculously stupid but could be made over and made MUCH better.
Some very early Lucasfilm games such as Ballblazer, Rescue on Fractalus or some really good version of Master of Orion 2, which was and is playable - even today (some 18 years later). Some might suggest Spore, is in fact that game, but really it's not, as others have said, Spore is more or less a mile wide and an inch deep. Basically I think a really high quality 4x type explore that galaxy type game that was as open-ended as technology allows, would be awesome to see. What extinct computer/video game would you like to see revived (produced and marketed again)?
I'd say Marathon, but you can get that for free now. For old school video games that you can't get, I would either go with the text based adventure-type-games, or those old arcade games. Nethack is cool too, but you can get that (I can't quite remember where).
Hey, if you want Marathon, though (it's awesome, I highly recommend it), you can do this:
Download the latest version of AlephOne here: http://source.bungie.org/get/
AlephOne is the emulator for the games. It's the middle set of boxes on the website, make sure to choose the correct one for your operating system.
Next, download Marathon from the same place. It's the first box, the one with the word "Marathon" on it.
After that, you'll need to unzip both of the files you've downloaded. Then duplicate the AlephOne application and put it in the "Marathon" file. Finally, open AlephOne (the one in the marathon file) and start playing.
You may want to check the controls in the preferences before you start playing. I set move forward to 'w' backward to 's' sidestep left and right to 'a' and 'd' and trigger with the mouse button and 2nd trigger with the left mouse button. Make sure to turn on mouse control, unless you have a laptop and want to play with only the keyboard. Also, set the graphics to full screen mode, and a higher resolution.
Also, there are other scenarios (like the second and third marathon, durandal and infinity) that you can download and put the alephone app into. You may want to try some of these.
And there ya go. Have fun! If you have trouble, there should be places online that tell you how to do it.

What is the name of this computer game? You are a young boy stranded on a island? beach?
Hi there
I remember playing this computer game in the 90's but I can't remember what it was called.. You are a young boy who's been somehow transported to an island (I think) by some kind of sorceror in a travelling circus with a crystal ball or something. You have to find items and solve puzzles, and I distinctly remember there being a beach.
Anyone remember this? What is the name of this computer game? You are a young boy stranded on a island? beach?
Sounds like Monkey Island. Huge pixels. You were Guybrush Threepwood on an adventure. There were a couple sequels. The best was Curse of Monkey Island. Find objects and use them to interact with people or the enviroment. In Curse I had to use ipicac to get a snake to barf me out...so awesome. What is the name of this computer game? You are a young boy stranded on a island? beach?
Sounds like Dink Smallwood - Mystery Island (1997), but it could be something else. There are dozens of similar titles. Hope that helps.
Dink Smallwood - Mystery Island
Takes place a couple days after Dink Smallwood Original.
Dink sets sail on another adventure.
He gets shipwrecked.
A wizard created good worker robots who turn evil.
Source of the robots will be explained in The Zolan War D-Mod.What is the name of this computer game? You are a young boy stranded on a island? beach?
i think you are talking about Dr. Quandry's Island (not 100% sure on the spelling)

Does it pay to write a strategy computer game?
I would like to write a turn based simple strategy computer game. Is there a market for it? I estimate 1 in a million people would love this game and would pay for it, and there are 1 billion computer users. If I charge $5 for the game then I could make $5,000, i.e., I could be rich beyond my wildest dreams! Is this a reasonable fermi estimate?
My second question is can a decent game be written in under 500 hours?Does it pay to write a strategy computer game?
i dont think so.

How to hack a computer game?
I have a racing game. In this game you press space to respawn if you crash. I would like to make it so that I and the computer players are unable to respawn. There is no option for this in the game. Does anyone know how I could change the controls around to get that to work using hacks or some other method? How to hack a computer game?
That's not possible given nothing more than the game the way it was provided to you. If it's free software where you have the source code (and if you're a computer programmer), you could modify its behavior. But the kind of hack that you're talking about is time consuming and laborious for the kinds of people who know how to do it. And the people who know how to do this kind of hackery are rare. There's no tool you can get that makes this easy for the non-specialist.

What was the first computer game to have voice acting?
I noticed that in past games, there was never any voice acting. Now, almost all games have it. As far as I can think, a possibility would be King's Quest V or maybe King's Quest 6. Both those games were made around 1992. If there is no one who knows for sure, then perhaps someone could tell me when voice acting in computer games became common. What was the first computer game to have voice acting?
I can't think of any earlier games than that with full speech. I know of a game or two that had an add-on speech pack, but none that had speech natively.
The growth in voice acting came about when CDs became common. Before CDs, quality voice encoding simply took up too much disc space to be worth it. A few games may have had occasional words, but not full-on voice acting.

Does anyone know a way to install it on my Xp computer?Do any of you smart computer guys know how to put Halo 2 the computer game for windows vista on windows Xp?
Ya just buy vista or win7. there might be a way to get it to work on xp but that might be a little crazy to do. As for what the other guy that answered the question, dont bother even reading it, he/she didn't read your question.Do any of you smart computer guys know how to put Halo 2 the computer game for windows vista on windows Xp?
If you install it, it should work fine. It's only some games that wont work and that is generally fixed by switching compatibility. If when you install it, it wont work try this...
Right-Click the shortcut on the desktop for Halo 2, go to properties, goto the compatibility tab, then where it says 'Run this program in compatibility for:' select 'Windows XP (Service Pack 2)', then press ok. Try running the game and it should work, if not then you can try asking on the Bungie.net website.

Making a computer game set in Feudal Japan - good location?
For an upcoming school project, I plan on making a sidescrolling action game in which you play as a Samarai. Unfortunately, I suck at history. Do any of you history buffs know of any good battles or wars fought in Feudal Japan that would be a cool subject for a computer game?Making a computer game set in Feudal Japan - good location?
Historically, you'd want to focus on Sekigahara. But since Sekigahara is now a populated city, actual footage for such battles is often filmed on standing sets, studio sets or foreign countries such as Alberta, Canada (Heaven and Earth) or New Zealand (The Last Samurai).

Most recommended:
Follow the story of Shinsen-gumi
Shinsen-gumi was the shogunate special guards formed at the end of Edo period to fight against anti-Shogunate samurais.
A lot of interesting, small scale battles that seem to fit into a sidescrolling.
(Samurai untouchable, or Samurai FBI, if you will, though very small scale. And their battles are more like OK corral style, not huge scale war battles.)

also Musashi would be good choice since now his life is told in a famous manga series:

Those are more of the subject of war games, I guess....

How do I transfer a game I have installed on my computer to a blank CD-R?
i installed an old computer game, Battlezone 2, onto my computer. the computer i installed it on is Windows Vista. The disk i used to install it with is not working and i cant get it fixed. so i wnt and got me some blank CD-Rs. i want to transfer the game to the CD-R so i can play it on the computer as well as install the game onto another computer, but i dont know how.
HELP???????How do I transfer a game I have installed on my computer to a blank CD-R?
Try this:
1. Make sure the games setup files are in the original computer.
2. Make sure the games setup files are under 700 MB, if over, they may not fit on that CD type, try DVD-R.
3. Copy the setup files after inserting the CD, this shouldn't be to difficult; just go to you're "My Computer" and it should show up, one way is to drag the files in there.
4. Now you should enter that drive, and you will probably see a button on the left that says "Burn Files To Disc", click that.
5. If all goes well, you have you're game on the disc.
An alternative route to all this is to buy a flash drive and just put it on there, much easier.
If the file has an .ISO extension and you use a flash drive, you can try mounting it with mounting software like Daemon Tools or you could get Winzip and unpack it.How do I transfer a game I have installed on my computer to a blank CD-R?

Is there anything I could do to reduce lag on my computer game?
I have this computer game and I loaded an EXTREMELY heavy duty mod that is really fun, but lags an awful lot. Is there any way that I can stop it from lagging by buying a better processor or memory card or something? Is there anything I could do to reduce lag on my computer game?
Depends what your bottleneck is ... whether the lag is occuring due to not enough processing power, not enough RAM, too much read/write to a slow hard drive, or a bottlenecking graphics card all would need different solutions.
Check how much RAM you have, and how up to date your video card is. If your card is older, get a new one and you should be fine. If you don't have much memory, get more RAM.Is there anything I could do to reduce lag on my computer game?
Hm, try making your space in your computer and also, run virus scans. Make sure you don't install a lot of things or it will slow you down. PS: are you Arabic?
I'm running one of these. Nothing lags EVER!Is there anything I could do to reduce lag on my computer game?
First look at how much RAM you have in your computer. If you have a 32bit system, you can put in up to 4GB of ram, but usually only 3-3.5GB of ram is recognized by your computer. If you have a 64bit operating system, you can put a lot more ram in it 4GB+. This is the first thing you should consider, as it is a cheap and effective solution. Just make sure the type of Ram you buy matches the ram you have in you computer already. Bring it to the store just to be safe.
You need to take three steps to speed up your computer and reduce lag:
1. Add RAM
2. Uninstall software鈥檚 that you do not use.
3. Select a good PC optimizer %26amp; Registry Cleaner such as Reginout from Intel Software Directory http://ibx.intel.com/directory/Default.a鈥?/a>
I am sure these three steps will help you a lot.
Thanks.

What is Lag on a computer game like the Sims 3?
I have The Sims 3 and it works very well on my computer but my friend says that his game has a lot of lag. How slow does a game have to be in order for it to be considered lag? What is Lag on a computer game like the Sims 3?
Your friend probably means that the game stutters, meaning that it provides less than 24 images per second so that a "flowing picture" is out of the question. For example if you use a flip book and let the pages drop slower, the pictures you see will not move in a natural pattern your eyes are used to.
Lag itself means that an online game has a bad connection mostly caused by high latency, the term usually does not apply to games not using an internet connection.
depends on the game: some games lag in a way of giving not enough frames per second(fps) other in a way of slowing down.
when do you call it lag also depends on the game: there are games like flash games that run fine with 30fps and other games that stutter/are slowed down a lot at 30fps.
hope this helped :DWhat is Lag on a computer game like the Sims 3?
If the game is lagging for your friend it means that their computer is not good enough to run the game at the current settings its on, they need to reduce the graphics settings to reduce the lag.
If the game is any slower than it should be, it is considered lag. What is Lag on a computer game like the Sims 3?
lag is when the computers graphics card is carp also lag can be low virtual memory to make the game slow

What programming skills do I need for computer game design?
I have a couple of ideas for computer games. One is a turn-based, web interface, city-building game. The other is a real-time, resource-gathering "defend your base" type of game.
I have very limited programming experience (an intro college course taken several years ago).
Hypothetically, if I wanted to work on designing these games myself, what programming language should I study now? What programming skills do I need for computer game design?
You'll have to use a language like C++, C#, Java, or VB.NET. You'll have to build a server system, you'll have to build a game engine, graphics (if needed), game content, and then you'll have to build the client that people will use to play the game.
Given your admission of very limited programming experience, it will take you probably around 2 to 3 years to develop your skills to the point where you can build this type of system. Then, if you are working alone, probably another year or two to build the game. What programming skills do I need for computer game design?
If you're creating small flash-based web games, you would probably need to learn how to use Adobe Flash (the software) and ActionScript (the Flash language). A new method that is coming into place to create web games is HTML5, which some people suspect will soon replace Flash.
If you'd like to create games for the computer that can be run as software, you'd probably have to learn a high-end language like C++ or Java. These languages also have a few popular libraries that provide functions to make learning how to create games easy. What programming skills do I need for computer game design?
Design is the art work, no programming. Programming is development. First you'd learn programming http://www-old.oberon.ethz.ch/WirthPubl/鈥?/a> Learning a language to do programming in when you don't know programming is a waste of time and effort. (Figure about 6 months to learn the basics of programming - thew stuff you didn't learn in that intro course.)
For web-based games, HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and SQL. For a desktop-based game, C++ may be enough.

If a computer game requires a Pentium processor, what would happen if I put it into a computer with a Celeron?
If a computer game requires a Pentium processor, what would happen if I put it into a computer with a Celeron processor and tried to play it?If a computer game requires a Pentium processor, what would happen if I put it into a computer with a Celeron?
Celeron processors ar generally slower and less efficient than pentiums.
However, the stat you should be looking at is the power required in Ghz, compared to your processor's speed in Ghz (just right click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop and select properties to find this)
It wont have any bad or damaging effects, if that is what you are wondering, it just may not run as fast as it should.
Any Questions, just edit :DIf a computer game requires a Pentium processor, what would happen if I put it into a computer with a Celeron?
It should be fine. Celerons are just slower Pentiums. Might be a little laggy, but should be okay.gogos crazy bones christian book

What subjects would you need to take for GCSE to be a computer game designer?
ok so i have to chose my GCSEs soon and my school said to start thinking i want to be a computer game designer (a game like world of warcraft) but i am also a good chef so i want to take food tech
i am allowed 4 subjects, but after i have chosen food tech i have 3, what 3 should i take to be a game designer? What subjects would you need to take for GCSE to be a computer game designer?
I would have thought IT (obviously) and Product Design or Art would be the vital ones. And for the third choose something you'd enjoy or perhaps something you've never tried before. What subjects would you need to take for GCSE to be a computer game designer?
Your GCSEs are not the most vital exams you will take; it does not matter so much which subjects you take, or indeed their relevance. A levels and what you do in your spare time matter far more.
When you take your GCSEs everyone stresses a lot, but once you've taken them you realise that no one really looks at them.
When applying for courses at Uni, the Unis prefer you to have good A-levels and have spent lots of time at home programming simple bits and pieces.
All the same, if you know what you want to do already then having relevant GCSEs will boost your applications.
ICT/IT
Art and Design
Product Design
Design and Technology
Graphics
Electronics
I'd suggest taking 2 of the above, namely IT and Graphics/Art if you can, but then taking another subject that just interests you.
You are only in Year 8/9 ? and what you want to do may, and probably will change, so be aware that if that is the case if you don't have a broad range of GCSE subjects then you may have problems picking certain A-level courses. (eg: without a humanities subject at GCSE, some schools do not let you take history, geography, sociology, etc for A-level) I recommend personally that your choice is a language, or a humanities subject.
Hope that helps?

Is constant computer game playing bad for my 4 nearly 5 year old son?
My son of 4,(nearly 5) wants to play games on his wii ALL THE TIME聽 he has loads of games for it, never tires of it and is VERY good at it, my worrie is that he would rather play his game than interact with people, from when he wakes to when he sleeps he seems to think of computer games.聽 Please Help,聽 is this common of boys his age?Is constant computer game playing bad for my 4 nearly 5 year old son?
Moderation is the key. Get him outside playing in the dirt, sticks, rocks, toy trucks, other kids, etc.. He needs to learn how to spend some time entertaining himself with nearly nothing around him, otherwise he will have attention deficit for sure. Kids today need to learn how to cope with a little boredom. Some things in life that must be done are boring. I've seen plenty of kids who come apart at the seams and act like the world is coming to an end when faced with a life situation which is not entertaining or thrilling to them.
Constant anything is bad, especially when it's something like that. He needs to excersise, interact with other people, and be a child. I don't think it's common for them to be on it all the time, but it is common that they WANT to be on it all the time. As the parent, you might want to think about setting some limits on it, maybe an hour a day (which is still excessive for a four year old) or something. Is constant computer game playing bad for my 4 nearly 5 year old son?
As a parent your common sense should tell you that a 4/5 year old playing video games all day is bad. In my opinion 4/5 year olds should not be playing any video games at all. If I were you I would take that system, the t.v., and any other plugged-in kind of entertainment out of my house A.S.A.P. and nip this bad habit in the bud. It'll be difficult (for you probably more than for him) and you'll have to find new more appropriate ways for him to fill his time but in the end your child will be better off for it.
This is just as bad as letting him watch t.v. all day, he needs to play and interact with kids his on age, or he will become that non socilized geek living in your basement at 30 still playing video games and trolling the Internet. I would limit it to no more then 2 hours a day, and yes he is going to protest this limit like crazy so be prepared to have cool activities planned. Good luck!
LIs constant computer game playing bad for my 4 nearly 5 year old son?
of course its bad.
put a book in his hand or send him outside.
"my worrie is that he would rather play his game than interact with people" %26lt;%26lt; yeah, thats a bad thing.
he will get upset for a while but u should put a time limit on it [like an hour a day] that is MORE than enough time.
it just makes them lazy and introverted.
Why does your 4 year old have a WII to begin with? Children need to be children. Tell him to go outside and play, take him to the park, get him involved in a sport, go to the zoo, etc. There are so many things for him to do besides sitting inside all day playing on a game system.
My six year old nephew was G.L.U.E.D to his gameboy his entire birthday and a couple weeks after that. If it is fairly new to him, he will cut back here eventually. But sometimes, my nephew would get really frustrated with it and that is when we took it away, when it is no longer fun, and told him to go play with his friends.
Hope this helped. It's a kid thing.
Yes.Take them to the zoo, take them swimming take them for a bike ride.Get them off of the games for a while.Cut it back to 1-2 hrs a day.
Duhhh!! Yes it is bad for them. He needs to be socializing and playing outside. Take it away!! And why does a child that young have so many games? YOu are the parent, act like it.
i play 360 with my son but only at night or on rainy days but is going to start kindergarten in September and start playing soccer because he want to.
Of course its BAD!. Children learn about different things by DOING different things. Obsesive behaviour can be an early sign of FUTURE PROBLEMS.
MY 6 year old just became a vidoe game freak. I guess it is that age group.
yes. that's too much.
Yes. 4-5 years old is when children start to learn how to interact with other people. Having a video game system at that age is a bad idea in the first place. He needs to go outside and get active and learn how to play with other children or he's going to grow up withdraw, insociable and possibly over weight and inactive.mcdonalds careers acura rsx

He needs to go outside and get active and learn how to play with other children or he's going to grow up withdraw, insociable and possibly over weight and inactive.

Is it dangerous to sell someone a computer game?
Hello, I want to sell a computer game of mine called civilization 5 and I was just wondering if it is dangerous to do so, like will the person be able to get any of my information off the game or steal my identity or anything like that?Is it dangerous to sell someone a computer game?
I don't know.
Did you happen to re-write everything on the game and shove s**t load of viruses into it so that when it's played, the entire system it's being played on will implode into pieces?
If you didn't do that, the answer is no.
No, it is safe and millions of people do so multiple times, its how they save money for the next game they want. I would suggest selling it to a local game store or find a website like

or

or

Does a private server online computer game take a lot of room on your hard drive?
I have several online private server computer games (the same game --different servers) and only 3 gigibytes left on my hard drive. I have a new Vista 120 gigibytes, but no more room. I did remove 4 viruses, but the viruses were removed, so where is my disk space? Maybe the servers really take up a lot of room and Vista utilizes lots of memory to carry out the computer functions? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.Does a private server online computer game take a lot of room on your hard drive?
hey there. Im pretty sure those server games you are talking about arent taking up that much space on your hard drive. how long have you had the computer? I dont know about vista, but try going to search or find all files or folders, then see if there is an option for size something like "what size is it" then look for specify size, then put in something like at least 50000 bytes. thats 50 megs. it should bring up all files on your computer that are that size or larger. use your judgement and delete the ones that look like they dont belong or that you never use.
hope this helps, good luck

Is there an easy way to capture computer game footage?
While playing any one of my favorite computer games (OS: WinXP Pro), I'd like to capture a few minutes of mpeg footage for replay later. If such a feature is not built into the game, is there an easy way to do this? Is there a sequence of keys that will start capturing whatever is on the screen?
Thanks! Is there an easy way to capture computer game footage?

I bought a computer game, but I had to wipe out my computer and the game got erased. I tried to reinstall it, but to my dismay it would not install. How can I create a computer game?
I have little programming background, but I learn relatively quickly. I have a concept for a card/board game, but it seems like it would be easier to work on and play on a computer than in real life. Is there software I can purchase that I can learn to use to create this? How can I create a computer game?
creating a game is not as easy as you seem to think it is. with only little programming background you really cant make a game. try learning flash or something for now later maybe C++ or if you have a mac you can start making apps in objective C(kinda a suck language tho)How can I create a computer game?
Free 3-D design software: http://www.blender.org/ It's more designed for role-playing games and stuff but it can give you some cool 3-D animations for your card/board game. Good luck!
Edit: It's designed to work with the Python programming language. You don't have to learn Python to use it though, but if you see references to Python while using it, that's why.

What is the name of a really old computer game with a NUMBER as the main character?
I remember playing a computer game in the early nineties where you played as a number. Maybe the number 3, or number 8. It was somewhat puzzle/math/educational, but definitely fun too. Does this ring a bell for anyone? You (the number) walked around and tried to solve things. What is the name of a really old computer game with a NUMBER as the main character?

All My Boyfriend Does Is Talk About Other Girls And Play His Computer Game. What Do I Do?
I hardly see my boyfriend out of school. The only way we really talk it over MSN. However, when we do talk, he always talks about fit celeb girls, girls in his classes and then go off to play his computer game. When we do manage to meet up all he wants to do is make out rather than just to sit down and talk. What do I do?All My Boyfriend Does Is Talk About Other Girls And Play His Computer Game. Why don't you tell him how you feel? Don't whine or complain about his games, but tell him you feel like you feel you think he doesn't like you as a person, and you wish you could talk with him more rather than just make out. If you really like him you could make it work, but if he refuses to listen to you I would suggest just getting a new boyfriend. All My Boyfriend Does Is Talk About Other Girls And Play His Computer Game. I also get fed up with guys who just want to make out, a relationship is meant to be more then that, so hun get out of there while you can.

Just sit down and tell him how u feel, make him realize that you want something serious and not just to make out all the time.

A good computer game with moral concept?
Hi guys, can anyone tell me a good computer game from this last decade (2000-2009) or from this year that heavily involves RPG and has a morale system that really changes the plot/storyline. I've played Fable and KOTOR, but those already had a story line. I am looking for a game that changes based on your decisions.A good computer game with moral concept?

In Chrono Trigger, you get judged part-way through on every moral decision you pretty much make. The original was from the 90s but it was ported to the DS in this decade, so I guess it counts. If you like RPGs and moral decisions, then I can't reccommend it highly enough.

Will my computer keep overheating if I run my video game off an external harddrive?
I run on a Mac 2.4Ghz 2 core and it's not the best for playing computer games, (I play heroes of newerth). It always overheates after 30minutes of gameplay.

No that's not how it works. Your cpu and your gpu do the brunt of the work and therefore get hot. You cannot avoid it. Make sure the insides are dust free and always play on a hard, flat surface.
Sorry to say but that wont work...Whats overheating your system is inadequate cooling of the video card or the processor....It could be a combination of both....

Does anyone remember a computer game that involved a spaceship?
It was a game i used to play on my computer when i was about 10 and I think you were a spaceship that went round a grey concrete looking maze- collecting flags i think. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
ThanksDoes anyone remember a computer game that involved a spaceship?
I do remember the game but cannot remember the name. For some reason I think it was some like Hovercraft or something like that

I installed a computer game into my netbook, but it won't play without the disc. How can I fix this?
I installed a computer game from a flash drive onto my netbook. The game will not open because I need the disc, but my netbook does not have a CD/DVD drive. How can I go about fixing this? I downloaded Daemon Tools Lite, but the game file won 't appear under any files. I need some help!!I installed a computer game into my netbook, but it won't play without the disc. How can I fix this?
You probably can't change this unless there is some kind of hack to make it think a memory stick is your cd drive.
I think making sure you have the cd isa way to limit file shareing,.. but it is alo a way to limit the space it takes up on your hard drive.I installed a computer game into my netbook, but it won't play without the disc. How can I fix this?

What is the Most Famous Computer Game?
I have to know the most Popular computer game. It can be the All-time favorite or the most Popular computer game now, on-line or installed.
Also, if you would like to answer a little more:
What is the Worst Computer Game? What is the Most Famous Computer Game?
Possible Battlefield 2, Counter Strike, half-Life 2, World of Warcraft, the Sims or Runescape.
the worst (or at least the most disappointing) could possibly be Empire Earth 2.What is the Most Famous Computer Game?
I would have to say Doom because at the time it was a revolutionary game and paved the way for most of the video game industry and especially first-person shooters. What is the Most Famous Computer Game?
The most famous is ofcourse World of Warcraft. Everyone knows about it. With it's 11 milion subscriptions World of Warcraft is also the most played game ever.
Computers can be big, bulky machines as long as they have chips/CPU's, right?
Then I'm tied between two...
Space Invaders and PACMAN!

How do you uninstall a computer game if it says it's been corrupted?
I bought this game from amazon and installed it on my computer, but it was messing up on my computer so I decided to uninstall it. When I go to uninstall it, it says it can't do it because the file has been corrupted. What is the best way for me to uninstall it?
Why did it corrupt? Does this mean I got a bad disc from them? How do you uninstall a computer game if it says it's been corrupted?
I had the same problem. Try downloading the uninstaller called Revo Uninstaller. It's absolutely free and it even helps you detect leftover files that you can delete. It has no ad-ware, spy-ware, or viruses as far as the i can see. I have been using it for quite awhile now.

Whats a good 2+ player computer game that all players can play on the same computer?
We are going on a 9 hour car ride to Cape Hatteras tomorrow and I am looking for a computer game that can be played on one computer by multiple people. Emulator or board game type games.
Any suggestions?Whats a good 2+ player computer game that all players can play on the same computer?
I would recommend playing the Project64 (n64 emulator) on the way there. Especially if you have a controller adapter or a large enough keyboard. You could play Super Smash Bros. 64, Mario Kart 64, Golden Eye 007, Perfect Dark, etc.
I have the latest beta version, Project64 1.7 Beta, uploaded here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=CU5059XS
You can get roms (n64 games) here: http://www.coolrom.com/roms/n64/
Downloading roms off the internet is considered illegal if you do not own the original game(s).
Project64 1.7 has great plugins for graphics, sound, and controls. For the controller plugin, choose N-Rage's Direct-Input8 V2 1.82. There is a newer one out (2.2) that you can get here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/nragev20鈥?/a>
Either way, select the N-rage plugin (should be in the "Plugin\Input" folder in the Project64 directory) by going to "Options" --%26gt; "Settings...". Under the "Plugins" tab (it should be there automatically) scroll down on "Input (controller) plugin" and select the N-rage plugin. Then click "Apply" and "Ok". To set the keyboard/joystick controls for the plugin, simply go to "Options" --%26gt; "Configure Controller Plugin". Assuming that you want to just play on the keyboard, I would say to set following controls (for two people):
Player 1:
Up - W
Left - A
Down - S
Right - D
A button - Y
B button - T
R button - R
L button - E
Z button - F
C Up - 1 (above qwerty keys, not numberpad)
C Down - 2
C Left - 3
C Right - 4
Start - Left Shift
(The digital pad is optional because a lot of n64 games don't really require it)
Player 2:
Up - I
Left - J
Down - K
Right - L
(If you're a righty when it comes to directional controls, then use the arrow keys for the Analog Stick)
A button - " \ " key (or " %26lt; " if righty with analog stick)
B button - " } " key (or " %26gt; " if righty with analog stick)
R button - " { " key (or Right Shift if righty with analog stick)
L button - O (or " ? " key if righty with analog stick)
Z button - quotation marks key ((or 1 on numberpad if righty with analog stick)
C Up - 8 (numberpad)
C Down - 2
C Left - 4
C Right - 6
Start - Backspace
After all these controls are set (whether you follow my specific configuration or not), then you can set the digital pad for each player (again, not required for a lot of N64 games). Once you're completely done with the controls, click "Save". I recommend choosing "Save Profile", making a new folder in the Project64 1.7 folder called "Config", and saving the file as "Multiplayer" or something (it should save as a .cpf file).
You're all set to play after that. If you have a controller adapter, you could either give more keyboard space to one of the players or have 3 to 4 players playing at the same time. For a controller adapter, I recommend the "3 in 1 Magic Joy Box". It's here on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Magic-Joy-Box-PS2-鈥?/a>
I have that controller adapter and have used the Gamecube and PS2 controllers on my laptop at the same time. It's something that you're going to want to have if you play emulators on your computer quite a bit.
Hope this helps and good luck!
EDIT: Be sure to carry an external battery for your laptop or some other external power source (or have a charger for the car), as emulation could syphon battery life quicker than expected (depending on the technical specifications of your laptop.)
I highly suggest reducing the graphics settings on Project64 to save on battery usage while playing. You should be using "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.53" (recommended), which can be set by going to "Options" --%26gt;"Settings..." and changing the "Video (graphics) plugin" to "Jabo's Direct3D8 1.7.0.53", then clicking "Apply" and "Ok". Afterwards, go to "Options" --%26gt; "Configure Graphics Plugin". Set "Windowed Resolution" and "Full Screen Resolution" to 640x480, "Full Screen Sync" to "Copy Memory", and change both "Anisotropic filtering" and "Full-Scene Antialiasing" to 1X. Click "Apply" and "Ok".
These are the minimum hardware and software specifications required to play Project64, quoted from the official P64 site:
- Intel Pentium 3 700Mhz or AMD Athlon 800Mhz CPU*
- 256MB system RAM
- 200MB free hard drive space + additional 20MB-100MB free hard drive space per game, depending on game and number of saves you make
- 100% Microsoft DirectX 7 compatible video, sound and input devices.
- Microsoft Windows 98
- Microsoft DirectX 8

Is the Sims 3 like the original Sims computer game?
I am interested in buying the Sims 3 game. Is the game like the other Sims games on xbox where you have a story line to follow? Or is it more like the original Sims computer game where you can build your house add accessories and you have to make sure you eat, use the bathroom ect? I like that type of game better where it is like actual life. What are some of the things that you can do in the game? Can someone explain it to me. Thank you!Is the Sims 3 like the original Sims computer game?
Alot has changed since "The Sims" but the original concept is the same.
In the Sims 3 there isn't a storyline. You can make your own, or not, it's up to you.Is the Sims 3 like the original Sims computer game?
nope.

To who do I propose a computer game idea?
For a few weeks, I have thought up a great computer game that I think would be very marketable. I have no computer programming skills, but I played a lot of the SimCity games as a kid and know how these strategy-based games work (my game idea follows a similar logic as SimCity). I know that most game companies have their own on-staff writers for games, but there must be companies out there that are seeking fresh, marketable ideas. Has anybody gone through this process before and help an eager designer out?To who do I propose a computer game idea?
Game companies have an endless supply of ideas. Ideas have a very low market value unless they become successful or at least get implemented. This is because you can get loads of ideas from a brainstorming session but trying them out is expensive and taking commercial gambles on them is very expensive. You could give it away by posting on various forums and hope someone takes note.
If you can boil down the idea to a few very simple mechanics then you could ask a friend of a friend to make a simple prototype. Then you would at least have something to prove the idea.

Can the game legend of zelda be bought as a computer game insted of a wii?
Im asking because i loved this game when i played at my friends house, but my parents won't buy me a wii. So is there a computer game insted? if so is it the same? Can the game legend of zelda be bought as a computer game insted of a wii?
Nintendo has the rights to all the Zelda franchise. The only time a Zelda game was developed and released for another platform was as a compromise between Philips and Nintendo, when they were not able to develop a CD based peripheral. The games were a flop and a dark smudge on the Zelda franchise. I think Nintendo learned from their mistake and never let that happen again. So, the answer to your question is two fold, legally no, you can not have any Zelda game on the PC, and two you should be able to buy Twilight Princess fairly cheap for the Gamecube. On Ebay a Gamecube should be around $25-30 and Twilight Princess is around $20. Hope this helps!!Can the game legend of zelda be bought as a computer game insted of a wii?
No, there is a CDI game but their isnt a computer game. If you have any other system from nintendo you can get it.Can the game legend of zelda be bought as a computer game insted of a wii?
Hi, I think the "Wind Waker" can be bought for PC. Anyway, its christmas soon lol, persuade your parents to buy one then, or offer to pay a bit!?
Technically, no. Zelda franchise is a nintendo owned product. Twilight Princess is avaible on Nintendo Wii and Nintendo Gamecube. If you're parents aren't willing to buy you a Wii, ask maybe for a Gamecube. Can be found used for about $50. There is also Wind Walker avaible for the Gamecube, and will only run you about $15, while Twilight Princess costs about $50
However, there are illegal versions of the older Zelda games that are playable on the computer, called Roms. But I think you're just interested in the Twilight Princesscracker barrel locations racing games online

But I think you're just interested in the Twilight Princess
What is the name of that really old computer game that had red and blue dots?
i remember you could play against the computer but the object was to make sure that whatever color you had, red or blue, was the color of the majority of the dots on the screen. everytime you clicked an empty place on the gameboard, and dots in the game spots next to it would automatically turn he color of you dot, i think... ANY ideas as to the name of this game would be ppreciated. What is the name of that really old computer game that had red and blue dots?

Why is my computer labeling this computer game as a virus?
I recently downloaded a game for my laptop but AVG keeps saying it's a virus and doesn't let me play it. how can i let my computer know it's not a virus? Why is my computer labeling this computer game as a virus?
You're going to have to be more specific about which game you've downloaded, and where you downloaded it from.
If you got the game from a torrent, chances are, it likely IS a virus. AVG is pretty good about these sort of things, and many downloaded games on torrents or freeware sites will hold viruses meant to do all sorts of mean things, such as steal information, screw with your settings, or just outright crash your system.
My recommendation is to simply delete the whole thing, and either download the game from their official site, assuming it was free to begin with, or buy the game, assuming you pirated it. With the amount of viruses and malware out there, it's not worth trying to pirate games.

I just got a new laptop, a Sony VAIO, and I want to play a computer game called The Witcher, how can I tell if I need to upgrade? How can I tell if I need a better graphics card to play a computer game?

1) you can't upgrade the graphics card on a laptop. You're stuck with whatever the laptop was built with.
2) You should look up the specifications for your model. They'll say what graphics card you have. Then, look up the card you have, and look up the minimum card you need. Why does my laptop automatically turn off after running a computer game for a while?
It is a very old, low-quality graphics game (AoE RoR) but after playing it for a while on my computer maybe about an hour or so my computer just clicks off. I do not know if maybe my computer is heating up too much or if its just some automatic thing. I do not want to do any harm to my laptop but I hate to uninstall the game until I know for sure if it can be fixed. Why does my laptop automatically turn off after running a computer game for a while?
Try putting the back of the laptop on a book or something. This will help the cooling system get more air. Get at least 2" of clearance between the desk you're working on and the back of the notebook. The most likely cause of your problem is overheating. Try using a vacuum cleaner's hose to vacuum out the cooling system of your laptop. Dust and other debris collects there and reduces the efficiency of the cooling system. In an effort to protect the computer, if the internal temperature gets too hot, then the computer will shut down. Games also require more energy, so the laptop has to work harder, which creates more heat. This should solve your problem :-).
No offense but ...
may be the game is so boring!
It seems that your laptop can't take too much of it.Why does my laptop automatically turn off after running a computer game for a while?
the laptop heated up too much....
a computer wont just turn off on its own unless its got some sort of virus....
You laptop is overheating. It wont cause any serious damage to your laptop unless it occurs very frequently. The only way u can avoid this is to buy a new laptop or play the game less than one hour at a time. Why does my laptop automatically turn off after running a computer game for a while?
Most likely causes are either your power supply is going bad, causing the system to get too hot or not getting enough power; or that your CPU is getting too hot, and is shutting down automatically as a safety precaution. There are many more possible scenarios, of course, but these are the ones I've found to be most common.

What kind of disks would I need to copy a computer game onto another disk?

You could stick them both easily onto a DVD, with lots of space left. But it's not as simple as dragging and dropping. You'll need special software. Just google "CD Backup Tool".What kind of disks would I need to copy a computer game onto another disk?
normally the games come out the are compressed onto a disc so its hard to say, a Cd disc is 700Mb and a dvd is 740 Mb so you best bet is to back it up on an external drive, that plugs into a usb port

Is there a way to lower the requirements for a computer game?
I just got Napoleon Total War and it won't run on my computer because my graphics card isn't good enough. Is there a way to still play the game on my PC?Is there a way to lower the requirements for a computer game?
No, there is no other way to play the game on your PC. The only way is to buy the graphic card you need and install it on your motherboard. It will be useful in future too, so it will be a good investment.
When you buy the graphic card, make sure you buy a good one as that way you will be able to meet requirements of more advanced games in future. Good luck!

How do I publish a computer game I made? I made a simple computer game that is as good as any free online computer, and I want to put it on some websites. But I don't know how to. i doubt you can make money off of it if its only as good as the free online games. Just submit it to one of the gaming websites and they might just put it up. No one will pay you if its just average. How do I publish a computer game I made?
The simplest (though not necessarily most effective) means of publishing a game is to put it up on sites like TuCows (don't remember if it was .com, .net, or .org) or maybe CNet's Download.com that host programs. But you won't make money directly off of this. About the only way to make money off of it without finding a publisher would be to set up a PayPal account and provide a section in the game menus on how to donate to you for the game (basically turning the game into freeware).
Unless it is browser-based, in which case sites like Yahoo Games that host Flash games would be the way to go.

Woah boy. The thing about computers is that there could be several different possible causes for the lag. Such as you video card or your processer beginning to fail. Check the Task Manager with Ctrl + Alt + Del to see if anything in particular is taking up most of your CPU or if the Ram. If something is then you can end the process. However do your research and look up what the process is and see if it will affect your computer. Ending Explorer would just screw you over. How can I get rid of computer game lag?
First try updating your video card drivers by going to the manufacturers website and updating them there, then do your audio card as well. Try it, if it doesn't work your video may have burnt out or started to die, get a new one. Maybe try more memory as well
Defragment your hard drive, get rid of unused and unwanted programs, add RAM, check your registry for old and corruped entries, clear your catch, increase the size of your paging file.top baby names bbq

I need the name of an old computer game!!! You bounce around on blocks in the sky to change their colors?
I have no idea what game this is. I used to play it a lot. It's a computer game in which the main character (some pink thing, I think) had to bounce around on blocks to change their color. There were some annoying little bad guys in it that you had to avoid running into, like evil storm clouds, etc. It took place in the sky. You were supposed to be defending something (maybe)... I only have access to the internet when I'm at my grandmother's or the library, but I love to play computer games. Especially RPG type games. I've tried a few big name games, like Neverwinter Nights, but they don't seem to like my computer too much. I was hoping to find a good downloadable game, one that can be played offline. Any suggestions?I'm looking for a decent computer game that can be downloaded and played offline. Any recommendations?
I suggest you download an emulator and download a bunch of roms. I suggest getting a Snes emulator and trying Chrono Trigger, it's by far one of the best RPG's for the snes.
There are emulators for pretty much every console except the extremely recent ones.
It is illegal to have roms of games that you do not own in real life for more than 24 hours, the 1st 24 hours in considered an evaluation period. But the chances of you being caught out are slim to none to be honest.
Suggest rom sites:www.coolrom.com www.rom-world.com www.romhustler.org.
If you still don't fully understand how it works, emulators act as the games console where as Roms act as the games themselves. Therefore both are needed.
Rom worlds probably the best out of the lot to be honest.

In what Robin Hood computer game did you use amethyst to get a monk drunk?
I played a computer game in the late 1990s featuring Robin Hood in which you must get a monk drunk. You use amethyst to stay sober yourself.
It was a puzzle game similar to King's Quest as best as I can remember. What's the name of this game?In what Robin Hood computer game did you use amethyst to get a monk drunk?
Conquests of The Longbow, by Sierra. You had to win the amethyst from the hermit by playing Nine mans blind (or something) in the pub. I still have the original game (circa 1992) installed on my laptop.

I don't think you can exchange it, but take it to Best Buy and find out for yourself. Best Buy will answer that question better than anyone else here.
For the same title only.
it is actually illegal (in violation of anti piracy laws for the store to refund or exchange open software) the only time this is allowed is when the game disk is defective they will and can exchagne for same title only.
If the same title is not available in store you may be able to exchange for a similar title.
Call up the store and ask, it will save you a trip if they say no. Also read the back of the recipe it normally tells you their return policy.

Promotional items and bundles
As a benefit to our customers, Best Buy occasionally offers promotional items and savings with a purchase or enhanced savings on a bundle of items when they are purchased together.
When a promotional item is returned, the value of the promotional item is deducted from the refund amount. For instance, if you purchase a TV and get a $100 gift card or 50% off of a DVD player, the $100 value of the gift card or the total value of the DVD player would be subtracted from the refund.
When an item included as part of a promotional bundle is returned, the bundled discount is void and the value of the bundled discount will be applied to the refund. This occasionally results in additional funds being owed to Best Buy. For instance, if your receive $200 in savings when you purchase a laptop and printer together and you return either item, the $200 amount will be subtracted from your refund.
Refund method
Your refund will generally be in the same form as the original purchase. However when the item was purchased with cash, debit or a check in an amount greater than $250, the refund will be in the form of a mail check mailed within 10 business days of the return.
Sorry, look at the bottom of your recipt, any open items (cd's, dvd's games) cannot be returned. The best thing you can do if you really dont want it is tell them its deffective and wont work in your computer. they will take it back and apply the credit to a giftcard, than you can buy what you want....ive done it 100 times never fails.
Check your receipt, it should have a "long" disclaimer saying if you can return/exchange certain things like electronics/games. But if you bought it in Canada, I don't think you can unless it's defective.

Exceptions to the 30-day policy include: opened Computer Software, opened Videos and DVD movies, opened Video Games and opened Music. You may EXCHANGE these items for the same title if the original is defective. We do NOT accept returns on these items if opened and non-defective.
Probably not, reason being, it is really easy to copy a PC game as an ISO. The other reason is, that it is easy to get the No CD patch for a PC game and there is no reason to have the game anymore. You used to be able to but anytime I ever tried to take back a game they wouldnt take it back. Is it because your system doesnt meet the proper requirments for the game?
you can exchange it, for another one, but you can't return it for your money back. you could MAYBE get store credit.
don't think you can after you opened it as you may have taken our the registry key.Can i exchange a computer game i bought from Best Buy?
nope
yeah if you have the recieptCan i exchange a computer game i bought from Best Buy?
I don't think you can exchange it, but take it to Best Buy and find out for yourself. Best Buy will answer that question better than anyone else here.
For the same title only.
it is actually illegal (in violation of anti piracy laws for the store to refund or exchange open software) the only time this is allowed is when the game disk is defective they will and can exchagne for same title only.
If the same title is not available in store you may be able to exchange for a similar title.
Call up the store and ask, it will save you a trip if they say no. Also read the back of the recipe it normally tells you their return policy.
