What is a good computer game for a beginner?

Hi, I am wanting to get into the computer game vibe. I love video games and playing iPad games but I really want to try computer games. Nothing too violent as parents would not approve. :( thanks!What is a good computer game for a beginner?

League of Legends is a free to play game. The good thing I like about this game is you actually care about winning because if you lose you will drop ELO (rank points) and you can also just play casually by just getting the 1st win of the day. Games take around 30 minutes each though.



Minecraft is very cheap. The graphics are bad however the gameplay is very nice. You walk around the world in FPS fashion holding a pickaxe or whatever, and you mine things with the mouse by clicking and you receive the item. You put certain items together to make new items such as boats or bricks. You build a house to keep the zombies out. You build automatic farms by placing wires and connecting them to pistons that push other blocks (more complicated then it seems). Overall it is much less stressfull.



I play both games depending on how I am feeling. If I feel YEP IM GONNA KICK SOME *** I play League of Legends. If i had a tiring day at school or whatever I play minecraft.What is a good computer game for a beginner?
Spore. Its like a choldren's RTS, and the RTS genre is BIG for computer gaming.
Doom, Duke Nukem.



Try a Racing game like Gran Tourismo, Forza 4, Dirt 2.
Of course it depends on what you like to do other than playing games...
