I remember playing this computer game in the 90's but I can't remember what it was called.. You are a young boy who's been somehow transported to an island (I think) by some kind of sorceror in a travelling circus with a crystal ball or something. You have to find items and solve puzzles, and I distinctly remember there being a beach.

Sounds like Monkey Island. Huge pixels. You were Guybrush Threepwood on an adventure. There were a couple sequels. The best was Curse of Monkey Island. Find objects and use them to interact with people or the enviroment. In Curse I had to use ipicac to get a snake to barf me out...so awesome.What is the name of this computer game? Sounds like Dink Smallwood - Mystery Island (1997), but it could be something else. There are dozens of similar titles. Hope that helps.

i think you are talking about Dr. Quandry's Island (not 100% sure on the spelling)
